| When can I take advantage of HP Co. Foundation's matching funds? |
During the annual Charitable Giving Campaign. Generally the US Campaign is launched at the beginning of November each fiscal year and runs for a few weeks. |
| How does it work? |
Employees enroll (via the GivingStation ) in a charitable payroll deduction for the next calendar year and/or register for a matching gift for direct cash donations to qualified nonprofits. HP Co. Foundation matches donations on a first- come, first- served basis while matching funds are available. The cash matching budget is capped for each fiscal year. Payroll gifts do not automatically renew to the next year. |
| Is there a minimum gift, or a maximum match? |
Minimum donation: $25 for one-time donations and $1 per paycheck for ongoing payroll deductions. There is no maximum on the amount that employees personally contribute or pledge.
Maximum match (per employee, per fiscal year): $1,000. |
| How can I sign up for my funds to be matched by the HP Co. Foundation? |

| When will funds be distributed to the charities? |
Payroll funds are distributed (and matched) on a calendar year, quarterly basis, approximately 45 days after the period closes. For example, funds collected from employees January through March will be paid to the charities in early May. Credit card donations made on the GivingStation in November will be distributed in December. |
| When will my funds be deducted from my paycheck? |
One-time payroll pledges are deducted on the first paycheck in January and then distributed in the Q1 distribution in early May. Ongoing payroll donations are deducted January through December unless cancelled on the GivingStation or if the employee leaves HP or goes inactive. |
| I already gave, how do I get a match? |
If you gave when matching funds were available, you may register for a match on the GivingStation by selecting Direct-To-Charity as the pay type. This will generate a matching funds form that you must print, sign and mail to the charity for them to acknowledge and return to the GivingStation. Acknowledged forms must be received within 60 days of gift/pledge date or the match will be cancelled. |
| I am participating in a charity fundraising event. Can HP match the funds I raise for charity? |
No. Cash matching is only eligible for employee personal donations – not funds collected from others. Submission of such funds is a program violation and treated as employee misconduct. |
| What if other employees are supporting my charity event? |
While match funds are available, individual employees must register for matching donations directly and independently.

| My charity is not in the GivingStation. How do I add it? |
Log in to the GivingStation and click on Activity History. In the blue navigation bar on the left is a link called “Suggest A Charity”. Complete the required fields and submit. Charity suggestions may take 7-10 days for review. Please review the contributions criteria to determine charity eligibility. |
